Video and Production Services

PCM provides production services to the City of Portland including coverage of meetings of the Portland City Council, the Bureau Implementation Project and special meetings and intitiaves such as budget work sessions and the Charter Review Project.

Television air time for these programs is free on PCM's channels. PCM offers a range of services from on-location single-camera to multiple-camera mobile productions, along with full service production studios, on a contractual basis. Fees for production services vary greatly depending on the type and length of each production. The cost of a project depends on the number of crew members and hours necessary to complete a production, as well as any additional post-production, dubbing, and duplication costs.

PCM is sometimes able to provide its services at low cost to organizations that produce events of significant public interest and cultural value for the Portland community, depending on the availability of resources and prior commitments.

PCM's professional production staff has produced projects for clients such as the City Club of Portland, the Office of Congressman Earl Blumenauer, the Portland Department of Transportation, the Portland Development Commission, the League of Women Voters of Portland, VisionPDX, the Metro Council, and Portland State University.

PCM's professional Production Department regularly covers City Club of Portland Meetings and has produced projects for organizations such as the Fair Housing Council of Oregon, the Oregon Health Sciences University, 1000 Friends of Oregon and Portland State University.

PCM produces and airs special programming to address the needs and interest of the community. Examples include the Portland Drammy awards, showcasing outstanding community achievement in drama; Candidates Gone Wild, a comedy event featuring local candidates to promote civic engagement; the Susan B. Komen Walk for the Cure; forums organized by the North/Northeast Business Association to consider the future of the Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. corridor.

PCM's special productions include a variety of cultural events and forums including the Japanese New Year Celebration; Soul Fabric, a series of one-act plays by Singing Elephant Productons; and BridgeTown Voices: Sharing Our Dreams, a forum for members of immigrant and refugee communities to discuss issues affecting their lives.

PCM is sometimes able to provide its services at low cost to organizations that produce events of significant public interest and cultural value for the Portland community, depending on the availability of resources and prior commitments. We require at least 30 days advance notice to schedule productions.
