Volunteers at Portland Community Media are an integral part of our mission. Our volunteers represent diverse backgrounds, ages, interests, skills, and professions. Volunteers have many memorable experiences, and the satisfaction of making a difference in our community.

Below are a few on-going volunteer positions available.  However, PCM welcomes you to contact us and speak with someone about your particular skills and passion.  

Reception Assist with phone answering and greeting guests at the PCM front desk. Looking for volunteers who are friendly, warm, have outgoing personalities and love to talk with people. Volunteer support is needed throughout the week and on the weekends. Looking for volunteers who can commit to a regular schedule. Please contact Bea:bea@pcmtv.org or call: 503-288-1515 ext. 127.

Peer Learning Lab Share your advanced knowledge of the production process, Final Cut Pro, social media or other PCM technology with new community producers in need of help. Labs will occur Saturdays, 1-3pm in the Multimedia Lab space at PCM. Volunteers specializing in Final Cut Pro, Motion, social networking tools, Internet based video tools, field production with JVC cameras, and audio techniques are needed. Community Productions Produce a program identified by PCM Multimedia Services production staff. Programs cover topics that specifically meet the organizational mission and may include: PCM promos, single-camera short features covering community events or non-profit organizations, or mobile multi-camera production. Community productions may air on POP29. Volunteers with substantial experience in production are needed. Dates and times vary based on production needs. Outreach and Fundraising Assist with phone bank fundraising, tabling events, donations and event planning. Volunteer support needs are based on Outreach and Development calendar of events. Please contact Dunetchka: dunetchka@pcmtv.org or call: 503-288-1515 ext. 123.
