Workshop: Digital Storytelling

Mainstream media’s emphasis on passive entertainment has some cultural critics, educators and media makers questioning if society is losing the art of telling stories. In this six-session training, participants will learn to use photos, video clips, voiceover and music working in Final Cut Pro and Photoshop to tell a story about your neighbors, your street, your neighborhood.

Workshop participants work on individual MacBook Pro laptops, while the trainer guides participants through the applications covered in the training, project creation and file management. Each session allows time for both technical instruction and project creation. The workshop fee covers all six sessions. There is no additional rental or lab fee for use of equipment during the workshop.
