June 18, 2013 - Portland Community Media's first two high-definition channels will be found at 323 and 330 on the Comcast cable system in Portland. Over the next 36 months all of PCM's current standard definition channels will be made available in high-definition between channels 321 and 330. The high-definition channel line up will mirror the existing standard definition line-up.The soft launch of PCM's first two high-definition channels is planned to occur later today. These channels include PCM's flagship Public Access channel (323), and our CityNet municipal channel (330).

Portland Community Media high-definition channels will be on the air in June with regular programming expected in July!

What it Means for Portland Community Media

Many of you know that PCM receives approximately 70% of our operating budget from the City of Portland. The funds for PCM operations come from the City's General Fund. The General Fund pays for City services, such as public safety, parks, transportation & parking, community development and other special appropriations. PCM's contract with the City is administered through the Office for Community Technology (OCT.)
